6620418Good morning...

Yesterday I spent a bit of time looking or....

Rather re-visiting,

An idea that I was working on earlier in the year.

I don't know if you remember but, last February, I was working (and waffling about) on a scheme to try to predict in which races our top two rated horses would get the forecast.

Well, I didn't really get anywhere with that and then, in March, racing was closed down.

The whole idea was to look at those races where the 3rd rated horse was rated far lower than the top two rated horses.

Although I didn't get anywhere with my plan to help predict the forecast, I decided to take another look to see how well similar circumstances would work to help predict the winners, either by backing one of the top two rated horses or even, dutching both.

It also may come up with some ideas to help predict the place for place backing.

I'll let you know how I get on.

Something to make you smile...

Two Men in a Lifeboat...

Two men were adrift in a lifeboat following a dramatic escape from a burning freight vessel.

While rummaging through the boat's provisions, one of the men stumbled across an old lamp.

Secretly hoping that a Genie would appear, he rubbed the lamp vigorously.

To the amazement of the castaways, one did come forth.

This particular Genie, however, stated that he could only deliver one wish, not the standard three.

Without giving much thought to the matter the man blurted out, "Make the entire ocean into beer!"

Immediately the Genie clapped his hands with a deafening crash, and the entire sea turned into the finest brew ever sampled by mortals.

Simultaneously, the Genie vanished to his freedom.

Only the gentle lapping of beer on the hull broke the stillness as the two men considered their circumstances.

The other man looked disgustedly at the one whose wish had been granted.

After a long, tension-filled moment, he spoke: "Nice going! Now we're going to have to pee in the boat."
