focus-ratings-mornoing newsGood morning...

Overall...

Not such a wonderful day but, I think that we have to bear in mind that this is only the second week of racing since the 10 week pause.

It must have been very hard for the trainers to try to anticipate when racing would resume.

Thus, not all horses are going to be perfectly race fit.

I'm sure that things will settle down soon.

Focus Ratings

focusNot so great for the ratings yesterday but...

If you compare with other ratings (such as the Racing Post ratings)...

We all did equally badly.

I think that it's just something that we're going to have to put up with until the racing settles down.

Of course, it doesn't help that it is, effectively, the start of the Flat season and so some of the results we're seeing are those that we would expect in April (the cruelest month.)

Compass Ratings

Compass-RatingsThere were 9 races at Happy Valley yesterday.

A pretty good day for us with...

6 of the 9 races being won by a top three rated horse and 2 of those 6 being won by a top rated horse.

Had you blindly backed the tpo rated horse in every race you would have made a profit.

I'll be getting the ratings for Sunday's racing at Sha Tin out first thing tomorrow.

Spotlight Ratings

spotlight-ratingsThere is one Listed race at Belmont Park (USA) today.

Now, I'm running behind today but...

The ratings for those races will be here at about 9am... http://spotlightratings.com/data/spotlightratings-2020-06-11.pdf

We've got a 100% record at Belmont Park...

Now, I'm not sure if I've just jinxed things or not?

Ante Post Ratings

27e164c0767bb5fcf74c98f871ba8524--gold-chains-operaLater this week I shall be rating (well in advance) any decent races that need to be rated as part of my Ante Post Ratings service.

Obviously, you as Focus Ratings members will get access to these ratings for free.

Now, I anticipate that I should be able to produce Ante Post Ratings for all big race entries about month before the race.

I'll be updating you early next week on how to access Ante Post Ratings.

Place Profits

There were no Place Profits selections yesterday.

This makes it 4 wins, 6 seconds and 1 third from the last 12 races (taking the 2 non-runners into account.)
